A CATALYST FOR BETTER
NORTHWEST INFRASTRUCTURE SINCE 2013.
OUR MISSION AND VISION
The Center for Sustainable Infrastructure (CSI) champions a new paradigm and practice for sustainable infrastructure in the Northwest and beyond, and is helping Washington and Oregon to become nationally recognized solutions innovators. CSI actively supports a future where sustainable, resilient, affordable and integrated infrastructure systems provide vital services accessible to all, while supporting healthy, prosperous, beautiful, and inclusive communities.
The Need for Change
CSI focuses on energy, transportation, water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste infrastructure. Across the Northwest, we are spending billions of dollars each year to operate, repair, replace, and expand these systems. The need to rethink this spending is profound if we are to optimize long-term community value—economic, environmental, and social.
CSI advocates smarter decision-making about infrastructure and investments that result in deep environmental improvements, and at the same time more resilient, beneficial and affordable infrastructure. Founded in late 2013, CSI has made strong, consistent progress advancing our goals and building capacity.
We are a registered 501 C 3 non-profit.
