Cadie is the Director of Sustainability Initiatives for the City of Spokane. Cadie directs the City’s integrated sustainability work across all public works divisions, including water, wastewater and solid waste, along with streets, engineering, fleet and capital programs, in addition to supporting city-wide customers with data driven decision-support. She is a leader in creating organizational effectiveness, envisioning opportunity, and managing change.
Before joining the City, Cadie’s 25 year career in natural resources encompasses work for the Nature Conservancy, the State of California, and private business. In those roles, she oversaw the delivery of innovative solutions, including landscape scale river restoration, integrated policy, environmentally sensitive land development, and collaborative governance for local, regional and international clients. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Biology from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Science in Hydrology and Hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno.
